Pears make a great dessert or sweet snack. And while you’re enjoying every bite, you feel good about what you’re eating.

This is a great recipe to prep ahead – wash, dry well, and slice the pears. Store them in an airtight container in the fridge until you are ready to bake them.
This is also a great recipe to make after you’ve made dinner in the oven, you can slip these pears in the oven and they will be warm and delicious in time for dessert.
Maple Glazed Baked Pears
A simple, healthy dessert idea.
Ingredients
- 2 Bosc pears
- 2 tbsp. pure maple syrup
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. nutmeg
- ¼ c. walnuts chopped
Instructions
- Slice pears in halve and scoop out the seeds Add maple syrup and vanilla in a small bowl and whisk together. Drizzle pears with syrup mixture. Fill scooped area with the chopped walnuts then sprink with cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Bake at 400 F for 15-20 minutes. Serve immediately.
